My personal projects often require figure (nude) models. Models receive prints from the shoot and sometimes head shots or other photography in trade for modeling. Look at my work in the gallery under figure studies to get an idea of what I do.

Commercial photography is usually intended for publication. Models pose as characters to illustrate the story being told. Models receive pay for these projects and are required to sign a release.
